Winter holidays in Lech

We start on 15.12.2023 into the new winter season!

WINTER PARADISE ARLBERG

The cradle of alpine skiing - and much more besides

It was here on the Arlberg that modern alpine skiing was born a good hundred years ago. Pioneers like Hannes Schneider took the Arlberg technique all over the world and made the sport popular. Today, Lech am Arlberg is part of Austria’s largest interconnected ski area, the fifth largest in the world. More than 300 kilometres of ski slopes and ultra-modern cable cars leave nothing to be desired. In addition, there are 27 kilometres of prepared cross-country ski trails and 40 kilometres of winter hiking trails. This offers ambitious winter sports enthusiasts a wide range of activities. Alternatively, you can also train indoors in the sport.park.lech. With the ski kindergarten, the ice rink or the bobsleigh run, families with children in particular get their money’s worth. Summer holidays in Lech

SUMMER RECREATION

Experience the joy of summer in Lech am Arlberg.

Lech boasts a worldwide reputation as one of the most renowned winter sports resorts, so summer here in the Arlberg region is sometimes rather overlooked – which is a terrible shame! When the last patches of snow yield to the sun’s warming rays in May/June, Lech is transformed into a veritable summer paradise with a vast spectrum of leisure activities.
Lech Zürs features one of the most multifaceted and extensive hiking regions in the Alps. Well-marked hiking trails criss-cross the entire landscape and offer a variety of hiking routes providing unforgettable close-to-nature experiences at all times of the year. However, there are also numerous options for mountain bikers – with or without electric power. Our tip: Bike from Lech to Zug and continue through the Zuger Täli valley to the Formarinsee lake, voted as “Austria’s most beautiful place” by viewers of the Austrian television channel ORF. A not-to-be missed scenic highlight!
Golfers get their money’s worth on the new 9-hole course set against a stunning high Alpine backdrop, while fishing enthusiasts can indulge their passion on a quiet mountain lake.
