It was here on the Arlberg that modern alpine skiing was born a good hundred years ago. Pioneers like Hannes Schneider took the Arlberg technique all over the world and made the sport popular. Today, Lech am Arlberg is part of Austria’s largest interconnected ski area, the fifth largest in the world. More than 300 kilometres of ski slopes and ultra-modern cable cars leave nothing to be desired. In addition, there are 27 kilometres of prepared cross-country ski trails and 40 kilometres of winter hiking trails. This offers ambitious winter sports enthusiasts a wide range of activities. Alternatively, you can also train indoors in the sport.park.lech. With the ski kindergarten, the ice rink or the bobsleigh run, families with children in particular get their money’s worth.
